Construction is set to begin for Spring 2010 on the Kemptville Colonnade, a 40 acre site being developed and constructed into a retail centre by SiteCast Construction Corp.
SiteCast has been contracted by Colonnade Development to provide the project management and construction services for the development, which will begin with a 15,000 square foot Staples store. SiteCast was the first company in Canada to build a Staples location using tilt-up concrete panels at their Carleton Place, Ontario location. They will use the same technology for the Kemptville store.
The development will house other national retailers, including Walmart and Scotiabank. These tenants, among others yet to be announced, are scheduled to open in spring/summer 2011.
The Kemptville Colonnade retail development is located at the intersection of Highway 416 and Highway 43 in Kemptville, Ontario. Kemptville is a community of 80,000 people located approximately 45 minutes south of Ottawa.
