SiteCast Jordan, SiteCast’s international construction division for the Middle East, recently completed the construction of a prototype for a military housing project utilizing their tilt-up construction technique.
Tilt-up is a new method of construction for the people of Jordan, who typically construct using load bearing masonry. Employing local labourers and materials, SiteCast constructed reinforced insulated concrete panels which were cast on-site then tilted into final position. These panels became the load-bearing structural components for the exterior, interior and roof panels of this structure.
The 1,765 square foot structure was built in the Military Medical City in Jordan’s capital city of Amman. It was requested by the country’s military as part of their plans to complete housing requirements for their personnel. The model demonstrated the benefits of tilt up construction, which include security, durability, and speed of construction.
SiteCast is currently working on opportunities in Jordan and accepting requests for tilt up projects throughout the Middle East. Those interested in using SiteCast panels in their project should contact firstname.lastname@example.org .
